William AndersonCaptainAustralianCaptain Will was born in Melbourne, Australia and now lives in Warsash UK with his wife and 2 gorgeous children. His main interests are sailing and motor racing. With a lifetime of marine and boating experience, he competed in 5 Sydney to Hobart Offshore Yacht races before moving to France in 2005 to fulfil his dream of working on Superyachts. He has sailed all over the Med, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, West & East Coasts of USA, Canada and one day hopes to sail across the Pacific and home into Sydney Harbour.
With Captain Will in charge, you are sure to have the trip of a lifetime.

Taberer BreretonChief officer (rotational)South africanTaberer grew up in a coastal town in South Africa spending his spare time at the local river or at the beach, learning and enjoying a variety of water sports. Active and sporty, Taberer maintains a fit, healthy lifestyle, enjoying cross-fit, running and working out at the gym. He also likes to ski, and thoroughly enjoys being outdoors and discovering new places. He is passionate about helping others, teaching and coaching children, especially those less fortunate. Prior to working in the yachting industry, Taberer served as a volunteer helicopter rescue swimmer as well as a reserve for the South African police. With seven years’ experience onboard Stella Maris, Taberer knows the boat inside out and is always happy to help. His experience onboard helps to ensure that Stella Maris runs smoothly and safely.

Colin DavidowitzChief officer (rotational)South africanColin was born in Hermnaus a small coastal town in South Africa. He started his career in the commercial yachting industry working on container ships and in the oil and gas industry before moving to private yachts in 2018. During his free time Colin enjoys fishing and playing numerous sports which include golf, squash and tennis. Working as a seafarer he relishes the opportunity to travel the world, experience different cultures and make friends across the world.

Cullen WaberskiSecond officerSouth africanCullen is from South Africa. His life has revolved around the sea from a young age, and he knew straight away after school that he would pursue a career on the ocean. He began with fishing charters off the east coast of Africa before taking up the exciting role of running surf charters around Asia. Cullen joined Stella Maris in early 2019 and hasn’t looked back since.
He has an easy-going personality with a drive to keep on improving in all aspects of life. He loves the family environment that we work in and is always eager to help, no matter the task.

Witold NovakChief engineer (rotational)PolishWitold, from Poland, is a natural-born Engineer. Since his early years he has been passionate about mechanics, completing his first successful engine overhaul at the tender age of 11. As a child, Witold wanted to be a pirate. To combine these two passions, he decided to become a seaman and major in Marine Engineering. He worked in the offshore industry for several years on various projects around the globe before joining Stella Maris in 2017.
A recently re-born biker, when he’s not at sea, he enjoys the freedom of cruising the open roads with the wind in his face.
Witold’s life-long developed skills and experience ensure a smooth trip onboard Stella Maris, delivered with a sharp sense of humour.

Alexander PhillipsChief engineer (rotational)BritishAlex started his seafaring career in 2007 working on commercial vessels until 2014. He progressed through all his engineering qualifications, achieving class 1 chief engineer unlimited at 27. He’s been working on yachts since early 2014 cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Indian and Atlantic Ocean.
Alex enjoys sailing, diving, surfing, wakeboarding and snowboarding. He loves outdoor adventure as well as playing many instruments at a semi-professional level.

Szymon KozlowskiAv/it engineer (rotational)PolishFrom Poland, Szymon has always had a strong connection with the water- oceans, rivers, lakes; a true nature-lover. He enjoys mountain biking and playing football and is always looking for the next adventure and new experience. The next big experience for Szymon and his wife will be the arrival of their second son in June.
Having been in the yacht industry since 2009, previously as an onshore electrical engineer and involved in new-builds and yacht commissioning, Szymon has a wealth of experience and likes to keep his finger on the pulse of new technologies.
Keen to help with everything, enthusiastic, patient, and with a great sense of humour, Szymon is an essential member of the Stella Maris crew.

Pawel ZielinskiAv/it engineer (rotational)PolishPawel, from Poland loves to keep up with the latest technologies, especially all things IT or AV related, 3D printing and scanning technology, and CNC machines. He is an aeroplane and RC glider enthusiast and has been in the yachting industry keeping the technology on the yachts in shape since 2009.

Lucas AlvarezSecond engineerBrazilianFrom Santos city, the birthplace of surfing in Brazil, Lucas has always had a close relationship with the sea, and, like Witold, our Chief Engineer, wanted to be a pirate as a youngster.
When it came time to choosing a profession, Lucas naturally chose a path that would combine his passion for the ocean with a mentally challenging career. A Graduate in Naval Construction and Marine Engineer, he is grateful for this opportunity to travel the oceans for the last 13 years and meet people from all walks of life. Lucas is always remains calm and his smile will brighten your day.

Russell AllyHead chef (rotational)South africanOur charismatic, lovable head chef Russell is a big dog lover and a family man. Russell has 18 years of experience working in some of the most prestigious restaurants in and around London and Berkshire along-side some of the world’s best chefs.
Russell loves to travel and explore different cultures, focusing on the local cuisines and flavours. Always learning and developing new ideas in the galley, Russell adds a playful edge to his cooking that will keep you intrigued by his creativity and your tastebuds happy.

Growing up, he often found himself in the Kitchen which is where he feels most comfortable. He decided to pursue a career on yachts as it gives him the opportunity to see the world, experience various cuisines and continue learning and growing as a Chef.
In his free-time Stefan likes to read up on current food trends and listen to music, especially classic rock.
He enjoys being part of the fluid and positive work environment here on Stella Maris and will keep the crew healthy and happy with his delicious food, working closely with our head chef Russel to prepare culinary delights to wow our guests.

Dan AbbotBosunBritishBorn and raised in Yorkshire, U.K., Dan is our musician in residence. Prior to yachting, he played professionally under the name 'Danny Landau' alongside big artists like Kasabian and Paolo Nutini, doing several tours in the U.K. and Europe, live sessions, performing and song writing for the BBC and has played the biggest music festivals in the U.K. such as Glastonbury and Leeds Festival.
Dan started his yachting career in 2010. He loves working outdoors in the elements. A great team-player, he brings with him a wicked sense of humour and is always happy to help. His musical talents are sure to make your Stella Maris experience unforgettable as he is keen to perform onboard and encourage and teach guests to develop their musical talents.

Ruben MontgomeryLead deck handBritishBritish/Irish, Ruben spent a decade in the French Alps, working in luxury ski chalets in the resorts of Val d'Isere and Courchevel. He made the transition to life at sea on luxury yachts and is now an experienced Deckhand, having worked on several yachts of up to 130 metres.
His main interests during time-off are Backcountry heli-skiing, scuba-diving and free-diving in Asia. His confidence both in and on the water and reassuring personality will put you at ease.

Mitchell NesbitDeck handSouth africanFrom South Africa, Mitch has always been passionate about sports and staying fit and healthy. He enjoys travelling, meeting new people and life at sea.
Before joining Stella Maris in 2021, Mitchell spent time studying and working in his hometown Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Since deciding to pursue his dream of working on a super yacht and travelling the world, he hasn’t looked back. Mitch has a great sense of fun, and his calm demeanour and reassuring smile will make you feel comfortable.
He takes pride in his work and is happy to assist wherever he can.

Sean feels most at home on the ocean. Before joining Stella Maris, he worked for a carpenter and as a surfboard shaper and a barman in South Africa.
Sean brings an uplifting personality which is infectious. He is first to assist guests and crew with any task. Keen to learn more each day, Sean is sure to make an impression on you with his kind and helpful nature and great sense of humour.

Sarah HoneymanChief stewardessBritishSarah, from Cowes, Isle of Wight in the U.K. began working in the hospitality industry at a young age and studied modern languages at university. Sarah has always been devoted to delivering excellent customer service and worked for British Airways before starting yachting in 2005. She is passionate about her job and enjoys learning and growing her skillset. She is currently studying for her yoga alliance teacher training. With training and experience in silver service, wine pairing, food hygiene along with a passion for a range of foods, she is right at home serving guests to the highest level. Sarah enjoys ashtanga yoga, skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling and everything about the ocean. With her friendly attitude and bubbly personality, Sarah will make sure all your onboard needs are met.

Prior to yachting, she worked for Star Cruises, climbing her way up through the ranks from a Public and Crew Area Stewardess to Chief Housekeeper taking care of up to 2,500 passengers. Annie enjoys Interior decoration, flower arranging, cooking, travelling, and looking after her dogs at home. Her interests and flair for luxurious lifestyle and the highest level of service make her a natural, keen luxury housekeeper with an eye for perfection and detail. Her organisational skills are second to none, and Annie will always make sure that whilst onboard it will feel like your home away from home.

Caitlin is an accomplished swimmer, having won many trophies, has trained as a swimming instructor and worked as an Au Pair in America. She completed her Yachting courses and headed for Europe in 2018. Living on the coast by the Indian Ocean it was inevitable that her love of water and travel, her passion for interior design, helpful nature and desire to make others happy led her into the yachting life. Caitlin likes road running, hiking, scuba diving, watching rugby, cooking and travelling. She enjoys serving guests to the highest level and creating amazing table decorations and flower arrangements. She will make you feel at home and welcome to relax onboard Stella Maris.

A keen volleyball player, she has worked in yachting for several years and enjoys life at sea caring for guests. Ligayas’ training ensures that she can cater for all your needs onboard with a smile. She has trained as a massage therapist and after working in that field for some time, she has moved on to become a professional laundry stewardess. Ligaya is a specialist in keeping the yacht laundry and guest and crew clothing in top condition.
