Built by the renowned shipyard Viareggio Super Yacht in 2015 in Italy, the 72m / 236’ Stella Maris is a unique, innovative and environmentally friendly super yacht of a very special general arrangement which delivers an abundance of natural light thanks to her high decks of 2.7m tall and floor to ceiling windows throughout.
Penned by legendary super yacht designer Espen Øino with naval architecture by Laurent Giles, Stella Maris is packed with premium features including a fully certified commercial heli deck capable of carrying a EC135 helicopter, a dedicated owner's deck and saloons with 2.7 meters / 9 feet interior headroom.
The interior design from the famed studios of Michela Reverberi have created a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort that make the most of the panoramic full length windows.
The Owner has been dedicated their own private deck with a range of amenities. For example, a lobby with an office and day room, two stylish Brazilian blue marble bathrooms, a sleeping area with semicircular floor-to-ceiling windows and private deck space which includes a sunbathing area with sofas. The Owner's Suite is a private haven away from the action that this yacht can also provide.
The 6 remaining guest suites are found on the main deck with four doubles and two twins which are each categorised by their own unique furnishings and fabrics.
She offers a comfortable layout for its guests thanks to the minimal noise effect and vibrations on board with a sophisticated balancing and stabilizing system on board.
Her helipad can easily be converted to an entertainment area capable of accommodating 100 people.
The large Beach Club is the perfect feature to enjoy by the water and where you will find a large list of equipment and limitless water toys, such as seabobs, jetskis Paddle boards, Kayaks and diving gear, among other, so that the experience in the water is the best it can be.
Stella Maris also offers a full size Gym room fully equipped with the latest on exercise equipment.
Guests on board will be able to recover and relax in the dedicated Massage and Health Spa which includes a whirlpool jacuzzi, sauna and steam room hammam.
Serenity is at the heart of this boat and guests are able to live in true luxury.

William AndersonCaptainAustralianCaptain Will was born in Melbourne, Australia and now lives in Warsash UK with his wife and 2 gorgeous children. His main interests are sailing and motor racing. With a lifetime of marine and boating experience, he competed in 5 Sydney to Hobart Offshore Yacht races before moving to France in 2005 to fulfil his dream of working on Superyachts. He has sailed all over the Med, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, West & East Coasts of USA, Canada and one day hopes to sail across the Pacific and home into Sydney Harbour.
With Captain Will in charge, you are sure to have the trip of a lifetime.

Taberer BreretonChief officer (rotational)South africanTaberer grew up in a coastal town in South Africa spending his spare time at the local river or at the beach, learning and enjoying a variety of water sports. Active and sporty, Taberer maintains a fit, healthy lifestyle, enjoying cross-fit, running and working out at the gym. He also likes to ski, and thoroughly enjoys being outdoors and discovering new places. He is passionate about helping others, teaching and coaching children, especially those less fortunate. Prior to working in the yachting industry, Taberer served as a volunteer helicopter rescue swimmer as well as a reserve for the South African police. With seven years’ experience onboard Stella Maris, Taberer knows the boat inside out and is always happy to help. His experience onboard helps to ensure that Stella Maris runs smoothly and safely.

Colin DavidowitzChief officer (rotational)South africanColin was born in Hermnaus a small coastal town in South Africa. He started his career in the commercial yachting industry working on container ships and in the oil and gas industry before moving to private yachts in 2018. During his free time Colin enjoys fishing and playing numerous sports which include golf, squash and tennis. Working as a seafarer he relishes the opportunity to travel the world, experience different cultures and make friends across the world.

Cullen WaberskiSecond officerSouth africanCullen is from South Africa. His life has revolved around the sea from a young age, and he knew straight away after school that he would pursue a career on the ocean. He began with fishing charters off the east coast of Africa before taking up the exciting role of running surf charters around Asia. Cullen joined Stella Maris in early 2019 and hasn’t looked back since.
He has an easy-going personality with a drive to keep on improving in all aspects of life. He loves the family environment that we work in and is always eager to help, no matter the task.

Witold NovakChief engineer (rotational)PolishWitold, from Poland, is a natural-born Engineer. Since his early years he has been passionate about mechanics, completing his first successful engine overhaul at the tender age of 11. As a child, Witold wanted to be a pirate. To combine these two passions, he decided to become a seaman and major in Marine Engineering. He worked in the offshore industry for several years on various projects around the globe before joining Stella Maris in 2017.
A recently re-born biker, when he’s not at sea, he enjoys the freedom of cruising the open roads with the wind in his face.
Witold’s life-long developed skills and experience ensure a smooth trip onboard Stella Maris, delivered with a sharp sense of humour.

Alexander PhillipsChief engineer (rotational)BritishAlex started his seafaring career in 2007 working on commercial vessels until 2014. He progressed through all his engineering qualifications, achieving class 1 chief engineer unlimited at 27. He’s been working on yachts since early 2014 cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Indian and Atlantic Ocean.
Alex enjoys sailing, diving, surfing, wakeboarding and snowboarding. He loves outdoor adventure as well as playing many instruments at a semi-professional level.

Szymon KozlowskiAv/it engineer (rotational)PolishFrom Poland, Szymon has always had a strong connection with the water- oceans, rivers, lakes; a true nature-lover. He enjoys mountain biking and playing football and is always looking for the next adventure and new experience. The next big experience for Szymon and his wife will be the arrival of their second son in June.
Having been in the yacht industry since 2009, previously as an onshore electrical engineer and involved in new-builds and yacht commissioning, Szymon has a wealth of experience and likes to keep his finger on the pulse of new technologies.
Keen to help with everything, enthusiastic, patient, and with a great sense of humour, Szymon is an essential member of the Stella Maris crew.

When it came time to choosing a profession, Lucas naturally chose a path that would combine his passion for the ocean with a mentally challenging career. A Graduate in Naval Construction and Marine Engineer, he is grateful for this opportunity to travel the oceans for the last 13 years and meet people from all walks of life. In his free-time Stefan likes to read up on current food trends and listen to music, especially classic rock.

Dan AbbotBosunBritishBorn and raised in Yorkshire, U.K., Dan is our musician in residence. Prior to yachting, he played professionally under the name 'Danny Landau' alongside big artists like Kasabian and Paolo Nutini, doing several tours in the U.K. and Europe, live sessions, performing and song writing for the BBC and has played the biggest music festivals in the U.K. such as Glastonbury and Leeds Festival.
Dan started his yachting career in 2010. He loves working outdoors in the elements. A great team-player, he brings with him a wicked sense of humour and is always happy to help. His musical talents are sure to make your Stella Maris experience unforgettable as he is keen to perform onboard and encourage and teach guests to develop their musical talents.

Ruben MontgomeryLead deck handBritishBritish/Irish, Ruben spent a decade in the French Alps, working in luxury ski chalets in the resorts of Val d'Isere and Courchevel. He made the transition to life at sea on luxury yachts and is now an experienced Deckhand, having worked on several yachts of up to 130 metres.
His main interests during time-off are Backcountry heli-skiing, scuba-diving and free-diving in Asia. His confidence both in and on the water and reassuring personality will put you at ease.

Before joining Stella Maris in 2021, Mitchell spent time studying and working in his hometown Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Since deciding to pursue his dream of working on a super yacht and travelling the world, he hasn’t looked back. Sarah has always been devoted to delivering excellent customer service and worked for British Airways before starting yachting in 2005. She is passionate about her job and enjoys learning and growing her skillset. She is currently studying for her yoga alliance teacher training. With training and experience in silver service, wine pairing, food hygiene along with a passion for a range of foods, she is right at home serving guests to the highest level.
